MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

I am delighted to present an intricate chronicle of the accomplishments achieved by Adarsh Shiksha Samiti during the dynamic period spanning 2023-2024. This epoch has been punctuated by remarkable strides as we fervently pursued our mission to effect transformative change in the lives of society’s most overlooked segments, including bait farmers, adolescents, women, and children dwelling in the peripheries where our intervention is acutely needed.

Our multifaceted initiatives encompassed a spectrum of impactful activities. The Asha Kiran Centre emerged as a crucible for the reintegration of school dropout children, instilling hope and educational opportunities where there was previously none. In tandem, our relentless efforts were channeled into empowering disenfranchised youths through meticulously designed vocational training programs, a strategic avenue to break the shackles of limited opportunities.

The canvas of our impact widened with our commitment to infrastructure development. Noteworthy among these efforts was the construction of toilets under the aegis of the Total Sanitation Campaign – Swachh Bharat Mission, underscoring our dedication to fundamental sanitation needs that significantly contribute to community health and dignity.

Education, as a cornerstone of empowerment, materialized in the establishment of Adarsh Shiksha Mandir – Upper Primary School at Seriya. This served as a testament to our commitment to providing quality education, a crucial instrument for breaking the cycles of poverty and ignorance.

In the realm of technological literacy, the operation mobilization of the Adarsh IT Gyan Kendra symbolizes our forward-looking approach to equip communities with the skills necessary for the digital age. Meanwhile, the creation and nurturing of Self- Help Promoting Institutes (SHPI and Swadharini) empowered tribal women, fostering self-reliance and community cohesion.

Venturing into significant projects such as the IPD project and the Panchayati Raj program, we broadened our purview, addressing critical issues that underpin community development. Simultaneously, our responsive measures to societal exigencies were evident in the meticulous execution of dry ration distribution and a comprehensive awareness campaign addressing the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Shaktidayini Project, aimed at combating domestic violence, stands as a testament to our commitment to addressing pervasive social issues. This initiative reflects our steadfast determination to create safe spaces for vulnerable individuals, particularly women facing domestic abuse.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my esteemed colleagues, whose unwavering commitment has been pivotal in upholding the noble traditions of our organization. With a tenure exceeding twenty-seven years, our collective experience underscores a nuanced understanding that the juggernaut of globalization often overshadows individual needs, societal welfare, and even governmental initiatives.
Despite commendable governmental interventions and progressive legislations such as the Right to Employment, the stark reality persists: tribal communities find themselves ensnared in distress migration. As we reflect on our collective journey, the realization dawns that our odyssey has merely begun, with an intricate tapestry of challenges awaiting our concerted efforts.
In all our interventions, we have strived not only to address immediate concerns but also to elevate the discourse on globalization and its alternatives, propelling it to the forefront of public consciousness. Your unwavering support remains indispensable to our continued success, and I am confident that discerning readers will find this report not only informative but also a compelling testament to the transformative impact that sustained commitment can achieve.
